Way better than it has any right to be. It's main attribute is a pair of likable performances by Kathleen Quinlan and Timothy Busfield. This is a good example of casting two solid, workmanlike performers who aren't big-name stars but who always deliver when it comes to their often supporting roles in larger-scale features.
Maybe I was just in a good mood, but I found this to be delightful. A ton of cute kittehs terrorize a small family. I mean, it’s ridiculous and it’s very difficult to make average house cats look terrifying (unless they’re staring at you at 4am with their glowy eyes), but the characters were engaging and the filmmakers showed a surprising amount of restraint.
